The Black Bear Vineyard Salisbury, NH
|
We started making the La Crescent Wine in November 2008. Now the
day has come to taste our wine making skills. This wine took 5 months
to complete. See how clear it has gotten from the fermenting photo's.
I put my hand on the back of the bottle so you can see its clarity.
Now the true test. We are judging appearance, color, body, aroma and taste. I put one
glass of our La Crescent wine next to a very popular Pino Grigio to compare color and
appearance. Can you tell the difference? The difference was that our La Crescent was
hands down the winner in all categories. It was FANTASTIC.....
We bottled up the rest, gave it out to some local people to try. We brought some to our hockey
parents to try and gave some out to a vineyard owner in CA, as well as, some local wine growers in NH.
Everyone agreed it was the best tasting wine they have ever had. People wanted to buy some but we
only had 25 bottles. We know that we can develop our La Crescent grapes into a great wine. We are
going to purchase some more juice and make some more wine soon, it was sooooooo good. Now we have
some Frontenac that is aging. I can't wait to try that one.
